The tiger is the second largest predator in the world after the polar bear.A tiger's size varies from 140 to 280 cm. tail length is 60-110 cm. They can weigh up to 300 kg. The body is bulky and elongated. with thick legs.The front legs are slightly shorter than the hind legs. The shoulder blades are massive, easily noticeable in motion.The thick coat softens the angles of the animaI'sframe.The skin of ventral area is often prone to sagging.The southern tigers have short. dense fur while the northern ones wear longer coats.Typical coloring ranges from deep orange and tawny to pale yellow.There are white circles around the eyes. The cheeks, throat, and beily are also white.The pattern of stripes is unique for each animal. ranging from broad stripes to narrow ones, from solid bars to spotted, branchy and mesh-like patterns.Sometimes the markings also appear on the legs. The pattern is not symmetrical.differing on either sides of the animal’s body and head.The eyes are greenish-yellow. outlined in black, and the black contour is relatively thick. The white tigers have blue eyes and brown stripes.The front paws have five toes, the rear paws have four. The pads are arranged in the way similar to that of a wolf. The paws are flat and very soft. lt's pretty hard to draw them properly. so it`s necessary to pay extra attention when working on those difficult parts. The body itself is shaped like a parallelepiped, with a flat back,narrow pelvis, and sides that seem to be perpendicular to the ground.The movements are smooth and unhurried, the head held low. The neck forms a smooth arch from the shoulder blades to the head.
